The CT50 optical fibre cleaver is an improved and complete cleaving product that delivers a marked step up in operability and maintainability compared to any other cleaver of its kind on the market today. The CT50 can cleave single fibres and bundles of up to 12 fibres and because it is Bluetooth enabled, can easily be integrated into existing splicing process for customers looking to invest in a future-proof cleaving solution. Thanks to the CT50s ability to wirelessly connect to Fujikura fusion splicers, the CT50 is able to change the position of the cleaving blade automatically and in response to the cleave quality of the optical fibres as seen and communicated by the fusion splicer. The fusion splicer will then rotate the blade once it deems the quality is poor. In addition, the CT50 completes cleaving of the fibre and scrap collection in the same step.
